The Great AUSSIE FODDER HUNT is an initiative of Feed Central during periods of severe fodder shortages. As at December 2007 this program has been temporarily suspended. At an appropriate time in the future this program may recommence (as the need arises).

Following is a summary of how the program works.

With fodder imports not possible, Feed Central has representatives travelling nation-wide to co-ordinate the Great Aussie Fodder Hunt - a search for domestic fodder supplies. The aim of this project is to:

	Work with end-users to determine their long-term fodder requirements
	Work with suppliers to ensure adequate supply of fodder
	Develop a national register of fodder for sale (available for sale through www.feedcentral.com.au)
	Ensure the longevity and sustainability of the Australian livestock & fodder industries
